Stat Planning was pleased to attend the official opening of Oadby Manor, a high-quality, purpose-built care home operated by Tanglewood Care Homes, marking the successful delivery of this significant development in Oadby.
This £15 million scheme provides 60 en-suite bedrooms, delivering residential, dementia and respite care within a modern, supportive environment designed to promote comfort, wellbeing and community connection.
We supported the implementation and delivery of the scheme, including securing and managing a number of variations to the original planning consent. This ensured the development could be delivered to the highest standards, while meeting all necessary quality and safety requirements.
A key aspect of our role also involved working closely with the Local Planning Authority to manage expectations around conservation and enhancement, reflecting the site’s previous use and its association with a locally listed building.
We were pleased to work alongside a dedicated project team, including Karen Whitehead, Fed3 Projects Limited and Torsion Construction, to successfully deliver this important piece of care infrastructure.
The completed home includes a range of high-quality amenities designed to support residents’ wellbeing and day-to-day comfort, including spacious en-suite bedrooms, modern communal lounges, a dedicated hair salon and landscaped gardens.
In addition to delivering much-needed care provision, the scheme will support the local economy through the creation of new jobs across care, hospitality and operational roles.
Oadby Manor is also set to play an active role within the local community, with plans to engage with schools, charities and community groups through events and open days.
This project represents a strong example of how collaborative planning and development can deliver high-quality care infrastructure.
With implementation becoming increasingly complex, particularly in relation to planning conditions, Stat Planning continues to support clients in navigating these challenges and successfully delivering their schemes.
