STAT Planning is proud to share the successful completion of this exceptional 52-bed EMI care home, set within the tranquil and picturesque surroundings of the Wigan Green Belt. Nestled among mature woodland, the site offers a serene and calming environment — an ideal setting for future residents.
Planning permission for this development was originally secured by our Principal Planner, Jessica Hird MRTPI, just over three and a half years ago. Since then, the project has steadily progressed, culminating in a truly remarkable care facility that combines thoughtful design, high-quality finishes, and a strong sense of place.
Now complete, the care home is nothing short of impressive. From its carefully considered architectural features to the warm, welcoming interior spaces, this is a home designed with care, comfort, and dignity at its core.
Throughout the build, STAT Planning has been closely involved in the delivery and implementation stages. We’ve worked to ensure all planning conditions were successfully met, and in collaboration with Millennium Care UK Group, we prepared the Training and Employment Management Plan. This plan demonstrated that over 90% of construction workers were local to the Wigan area – supporting both community involvement and local economic growth.
The finished care home is not only a testament to thoughtful design but also an example of how collaboration between planners, developers, and the local workforce can deliver real community benefit.
As planning conditions become increasingly complex, STAT Planning continues to support clients and contractors all the way through to project completion and occupation. Our proactive, solutions-led approach helps ensure compliance with planning requirements while keeping build programmes on track.
