STAT Planning has secured Full Planning Permission on behalf of Langcroft Developments for a new residential development on brownfield land at Pond Street, Kirkby-in-Ashfield.

The scheme will deliver 100% affordable housing, providing new apartments specifically for people aged 55 and over. The development will help meet an identified local housing need while bringing a previously developed site back into productive use.

The site presented a number of planning considerations, including Biodiversity Net Gain and the need to ensure high standards of amenity for both new and existing residents. Working closely with the wider project team, STAT Planning established a robust planning case and successfully navigated these constraints through the application process.

STAT Planning also represented the scheme at Ashfield District Council’s Planning Committee, where Members unanimously resolved to grant planning permission.

The approval represents a positive outcome for Langcroft Developments and demonstrates the role that well-considered brownfield development can play in delivering much-needed affordable homes within existing communities.

STAT Planning looks forward to seeing the scheme progress through to delivery.
