STAT Planning is pleased to announce the successful outcome of a complex and sensitive planning application in the heart of the Peak District National Park.
The project involved the repair and reinstatement of a historic building that had suffered severe damage following a road traffic incident and prolonged exposure to the elements. While emergency stabilisation works were undertaken, deviations from the original planning consent triggered the requirement for a new, carefully considered planning application and a more robust approach.
Given the site’s environmental sensitivity and prominent location within the National Park, a bespoke planning strategy was essential. STAT Planning led a proactive and collaborative process with both the Planning and Enforcement teams at the National Park Authority, ultimately securing consent for a scheme that reinstates the building while respecting the area’s historic character and landscape setting.
In parallel, we successfully amended a previously approved scheme for a separate building associated with a holiday let enterprise on the same site. Through early engagement and clear justification, we helped to mitigate enforcement risks and deliver a viable and sustainable outcome for our client.
This project demonstrates STAT Planning’s expertise in navigating complex planning challenges in highly sensitive locations. As always, our team remains committed to delivering outcomes that are pragmatic, respectful and economically viable.
We are proud to have supported our client in achieving a positive result, even under difficult and evolving circumstances.
