We are thrilled to share some fantastic news from the team at STAT Planning – Sophie Kane has passed her Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) and is now a Chartered Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (MRTPI)!
This major career milestone marks the successful completion of Sophie’s Town Planning Apprenticeship, and is a testament to her hard work, determination, and outstanding professional growth throughout her journey.
“I’m absolutely delighted to have passed my APC and to now be a Chartered Member of the RTPI,” Sophie said. “It’s been a challenging but incredibly rewarding process, and I’m so grateful to everyone who supported me along the way.”
A special thanks goes to Kay Carpenter, Jessica Hird, and Sarah Scarsebrook for their invaluable support and guidance throughout Sophie’s APC process. Their mentorship and encouragement played a key role in helping Sophie prepare for and succeed in this rigorous assessment.
What makes Sophie’s achievement even more impressive is that she passed her APC on the first attempt with no referrals – an accomplishment that is rarely seen and speaks volumes about the quality of her submission and professionalism.
Sophie excelled across all areas of the assessment, including her professional experience, written submission, and Professional Development Plan. Her success reflects not only technical knowledge, but also a strong commitment to the values of good planning, client service, and lifelong learning.
“It’s been a privilege to grow within such a supportive and inspiring team at STAT Planning. I’m really excited about the next chapter of my career as a Chartered Planner, and to keep contributing to the profession in meaningful ways,” Sophie added.
