As we celebrate our first year of STAT Planning, we reflect on an incredible year filled with growth, collaboration and the achievement of significant milestones. It has been an exciting journey so far and we want to express our gratitude for those who have taken the time to meet with us.

The team is committed to achieving the best possible outcome for our clients through a collaborative and positive approach. We are now a dedicated team of five professionals, each bringing a unique skill set to the table, enhancing our collective expertise. We place great importance on building strong, lasting relationships that make the planning process as smooth as it possibly can be and we are always available to offer expert insights and creative solutions.

Our journey so far:

In the past year, we have had the privilege of working with a range of clients across various sectors, helping them achieve their visions through thoughtful planning and innovative solutions.

Reflection on planning headlines:

Over the past 12 months, planning has been at the forefront of politics, legislation and the budget. Key initiatives have been boosting housing supply, with 1.5 million new homes, £500 million dedicated to affordable housing and £46 million set aside for graduates and apprentices in local planning authorities. STAT Planning has been actively collaborating with clients to capitalise on these positive developments.

Another focus has been Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG), which became mandatory earlier this year. Ecology is assessed at the outset and we have secured developments with both integrated biodiversity mitigation and new dwellings where off site payments proved more viable. Recently we have also seen particular success with Self Build projects located outside settlement boundaries, which benefit from the BNG exemption.

The new Labour Government has introduced the “Grey Belt” and we expect further details in the updated NPPF anticipated before Christmas. In the meantime, we continue to win residential developments on greenfield land, particularly where there are gaps in housing supply.  The clear push from London is for housing delivery and business growth; STAT Planning is primed and working with our clients to realise these objectives.

We are excited for the year ahead and eager to continue building on our existing relationships while forging new connections! Our plans for 2025 include:
